Arthur Nunes: FC Ponte Girl's Director and U17G's Head Coach

Orginally from Naugatuck CT. Naugatuck High School Boy's Varsity Coach. Art Nunes accomplishments: Class LL State Championships Team(2001), three NVL Championships(2007-2009) in last 3 years.
Art has coached the FC Ponte girl’s U-15(2007-2008) and U-16(2008-2009) teams and is currently coaching the girl’s U-17 team for the 2009-2010 season.
Brian Mariano: FC Ponte U16G's Head Coach
Originally from Naugatuck CT, played his high school soccer at Naugatuck High School where he was a member of the All-NVL(1999-2001), All-State(2001) and All- New England(2001) teams as well as a member of the Class LL State Championships Team(2001). In addition, Brian was also a member of the NVL Championship teams from 1998-2001.
Brian received a diving scholarship to Indiana University where he was a four year member of the men’s Division I swimming and diving program under head coach Jeff Huber. At Indiana University, Brian earned All-Big Ten, Big Ten Diver of the Year and All-American honors and was a member of the 2006 Big Ten Championship Team. Brian graduated from Indiana University in 2006 with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Kinesiology.
Currently, Brian is the Jr. Varsity coach(2007-Present) for the Naugatuck High School boy’s soccer program under head coach Art Nunes. Since his return, Brian has assisted coach Nunes in three NVL Championships(2007-2009). In addition, Brian has coached the FC Ponte girl’s U-15(2008-2009) and U-17(2007-2008) teams and is currently coaching the girl’s U-16 team for the 2009-2010 season.
Brian is a current member of the Connecticut High School Soccer Coaches Association and the NSCAA.
Lisa Mariano: FC Ponte U16G's Assistant Coach
Orginally from Naugatuck, currently living in Waterbury. Played High School Soccer at Naugatuck High School where she was a member of the All NVL 1994-1997 and All State 1997 teams.
Lisa received a full soccer scholarship to SUNY Stony Brook where she was a four year member Division 1 soccer program under head coach Sue Ryan. Lisa was Captain her senior year and lead Stony Brook to the 1st ever post season birth at Division 1. Lisa graduated from Stony Brook in 2002 with BA in Social Sciences Interdisciplinary. Lisa continued her education where she graduated from Wagner College in 2005 with Bachelor's of Science in Nursing.
Currently Lisa is the JV coach Naugatuck High School under head coach Jose Sendra. Lisa has coached the FC Ponte girls U-15 (2008-2009) and U-17 (2007-2008) teams and is currently coaching girl's U-16 team for 2009-2010 season
Lisa is a current member of Connecticut High School Soccer Coaches Association.
Christina Nunes: FC Ponte U17G's Assistant Coach

Orginally from Watertown, played High School Soccer at Holy Cross in Waterbury.
Christina earned a Bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst where she was a member for three seasons. Christina finished up her final year of eligibility at Southern Connecticut State University where she is currently persuing a Masters degree in School Counseling.
Christina was a member of the New England Mutiny who played for the 2007 WPSL National Championship. She also played in 2009 W-League for the Connecticut Passion.
Currently, Christina is the freshman coach at Naugatuck High School, and a Varsity assistant. Christina has coached the FC Ponte girls U-15 (2007-2008) and U-16 (2008-2009) teams and is currently coaching girl's U-17 team for 2009-2010 season
She has an ‘E’ License from the USSF/CJSA.
Boy's Coaching Staff 2009/2010
Anthony Addona: FC Ponte Boy's Director and U17B's Head Coach
Orginally from Watertown.
Addona graduated from Southern Connecticut State University with an Education degree and a concentration in exercise science.
Anthony Addona is in his first year as Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach at Post University. He brings four years of coaching experience from the high school level after spending one season with Watertown High School, and three years at Holy Cross High School.
Addona's responsiblities include assisting in day to day operations and will concentrate in recruiting.
Addona heads up a premiere soccer club in Waterbury working with athletes 6-19 years old. This affords him the ability to travel to various college showcases and assist Post University in recruiting efforts.
Mario Ferrucci: FC Ponte Boy's U18B's Head Coach
Born in Italy, currently living in Watertown. Mario began playing soccer at the age of 6 for the Waterbury Pontes. He practiced for 3 years before the Waterbury Pontes were entered into the Connecticut Junior Soccer League. Mario's team went 27-0 and won a State Championship. Years later the Waterbury Pontes U-19 boys were State Cup Champions in 1987 and 1988.
Mario's coaching experience involves 10 years on the boys side from age groups U-9 to U-23. Mario trained and coached U-14 boys Classic D1 team to NWD first place in 2005. FC Pontes U-16 boys premier to a first place finish at the Seaside Classic Tournament in R. I. in 2007. In March 2009 U-17 boys traveled to Florida for the Bazooka College Showcase with a 1-1-1 record , not strong enough to advance only made them more prepared and determined for the next tournament. In May 2009 with a full roster and well prepared team, the U-17 boys took first place at the Needham College Showcase in MA.
Mario has International coaching experience. The U16 FC Pontes boys traveled to Italy in 2006 for the San Marino Cup, which was the same time frame the World Cup was going on. Playing top club teams in Italy such as Brescia and European teams from Greece and Finland The FC Pontes advanced to the semi finals qualifying by way of Penalty kicks .
Currently playing in the SASL 0 - 40 Div. 1 with Cheshire Azzurri and a member of the Zimmitti Memorial Scholarship Committee.
